Park van de Waal underwent a real transformation last year. Thanks to the many changes, it has once again become a green, open and fun meeting place for its visitors.
Park Van De Walle is seen as a small green island, surrounded by the Westlaan docks and Meensesteenweg. The purpose of the redevelopment was to increase the biodiversity and structure of the park and where existing animals still found their way.
The valuable trees are preserved as much as possible. A number of diseased trees were harvested for safety reasons, but we planted new trees as compensation.
