    Protected natural area in the Lazio region

    Castelli Romani Regional Park is a protected natural area in the Lazio region of the Colle Albani region of Rome. Municipalities that are part of it.

    Castelli Romani Park was established under Regional Act 2/1984 to protect the integrity of the natural and cultural characteristics of the 15 countries (Albano Lazial, Arequia, Castell Gandolfo, Frascati, Gianzano de Roma, Grottaferrata, Lanovio, Lariano, Marino, Monti Compatry and Monte Porzio Catoni, Baba, Rocca Priora and Fletri), which occupy the ancient Lazale volcano and Pomezia, are included to protect the remains of ancient oak trees on the slopes of the hills.

    The park is a foundation of Lazio. It is organized with various institutional bodies: President, Board of Directors, Community Park, Board of Auditors. The organization was assigned a general manager who coordinates the activities of the various offices and garden guards.

Protecting the waters of the lake basins and the fire-fighting service are essential elements for maintaining the ecosystem balance: two other tasks designated by the various FAO services to carry out.

    In the area of ​​biodiversity protection, it is important to emphasize the importance of supporting agriculture in the region, which allows the defense of crops that have otherwise been destined to disappear in the face of market logic. Parco dei Castelli Romani also plays an important role in landscape protection and control of regional urban development.

An environment that contains many different plant species and is characterized by rich growth and luxury allows the development of life, even for the most evasive animal species. Other mammals of the forest are weasel, fluffy, weasel and wild boar increasingly common. In the ponds, you can find a Dalmatian frog, a common frog and a crouching nute. Finally, the current prey birds are the owl, the previously mentioned owl, the long-beaked owl and the owl barn.

    You can always visit the park because it is a land without any barrier covering about 15,000 hectares. Therefore, there are no timetables or restrictions, except for access to private property or archaeological sites managed by the Archaeological Heritage Authority of Lazio.
