Features exotic and native trees, several ponds, numerous sculptures
1923 - The brothers Gustav and Georg Thiele acquired the property. At the time, Leherheide was a sparsely populated moorland and heathland area. Gustav (1877-1968), a trained violinist, had become a self-educated sculptor. His brother Georg (1886-1968), a professional photographer, was a passionate painter in his spare time.
1929 - Georg Thiele married the painter Grete Itzen (1905-1990), who stood for many of the sculptures in the park model.
