In 1995, the Ingolstadt City Council, one of the most important river valleys in the northern city of Ograben, decided to re-establish a large scale. In the question section came between Beilngrieser Straße and Unterhaunstädter Weg. Along with neighboring areas, which are extensively used for agriculture, a landscape similar to the Ould Garden, as well as under the theme of local entertainment, was designed directly with the participation of Augraben. Taking into consideration these planning specifications, the Parks Office developed a similar planning concept.
In addition to the green hiking trails and jogging paths, there are many other recreational opportunities, especially for children and teenagers: a football field, basketball court, cable car, ski facility, several children's playgrounds, a small climbing park and a playground with barefoot path.
In the central area, a main crossing point in the park in continuation of Peter and Paul Trail, a large orchard is designed. Fruit harvest is available to all visitors to the park. The areas between the current oil pipeline and the south of Augraben are no longer suitable for intensive farming, and therefore serve mainly as buffer strips for adjacent water. They are widely preserved and close to nature.
In the second phase of expansion, agricultural land adjacent to the water plants is included to the south and west of the garden in the park. The ground-water drinking water tank can also be used at a height of up to four meters, which Stadwirk plans in this area for winter skiing. On the other hand, the areas to the west of the previously developed park section are the Bellinger Road.
Archaeological findings will be included in the vicinity of Augraben, as found in the context of aerial photography, such as the discovery of Neolithic fortification, in the concept park in Zukuft. Thus, valuable information materials will be available for the study of local history.
Finally, it is intended to connect the two parts of the park with a wooden bridge over the Ograben area. However, the province park can only be expanded if it becomes possible for the city of Ingolstadt to get the necessary land for this purpose step by step.
