Conservation area
In the middle of the Ohligser heath lie a larger lake with a diameter of approx. 80 meters and the outdoor pool Heide. As part of nature conservation, there are years of efforts to close the heath bath in the medium term, to restore this high-traffic area back to a natural state. So far this desire failed because of the will of the population, but should be enforced in the opinion of the city of Solingen in the near future.
