High forest area in the urban area of Erfurt
Consisted mainly of beech and oak trees. At the edge of the forest, which is crossed by numerous hiking trails, are some barracks, such as the barracks or the Löberfeldkaserne. The forest area is intersected in north-south direction by the federal highway 4, where the excursion pub Hubertus and the former Waldschlösschen are located. In the northeastern part of the forest is the Erfurt Bismarckturm.
