Offers many recreational opportunities for the whole family
Today, it is used by families with children from Oberhausen, from the Lower Rhine and from the entire western Ruhr area and appreciated as a particularly beautiful piece of nature in the middle of the conurbation.
The enclosure currently hosts approximately 500 animals from 25 mammal species and breeds as well as 45 species and breeds on an area of approximately 5.5 hectares. Especially for city children, the animal enclosure in the Kaisergarten enables encounters with local wild and domestic animals. Especially popular with the children is the petting zoo. There are also children's playgrounds in the enclosure and outside the enclosure for the little ones.
