About Park

  • Preview

A variety of sports fields, a volleyball court and a tennis court

Already in the city map of 1880, one can see that over the Sandanger (at that time still an island) the Mansfelder road led in the direction of Nietleben. The Elisabeth Bridge connected Sandanger with the city of Halle. Approximately in the middle of the island a path branched off to the north to Gut Gimritz, which was already described in 1880 as a park.

In the city map of 1899 it can be seen that next to the road (north) now also the railway crosses the island. From the Klaustorbahnhof the journey goes over the Sandanger towards Nietleben.
