A recreational area in northwest Duisburg
The area extends beyond the city limits of Duisburg and is intersected by the A 42. The area on the western edge of the Duisburg Baerl district is a heath forest. To him belong about 3.2 km² of forest and the 0.5 km ² large Lohheider lake, which was created by the degradation of gravel and sand. In the south, already on Moerser city, lies the Waldsee, another, smaller, renatured gravel pit. Here, the Baerler Busch adjoins the Halde Rheinpreußen.
