Landscape park
The bridge between the two parts of the park was built in 2004 and 2005 by the construction of two Wietze bridges at the northern and southern edge of the park. They are an obvious expression of the good planning and financial cooperation of all stakeholders at local and regional level.
A special feature of the Hannover region is its variety of gardens, parks and landscapes. They are the foundation of the "Gartenregion Hannover" brand and will be the setting or stage for a tailor-made event program in 2009. The Wietzepark will make an outstanding contribution to this and has a permanent place in the Garden Year 2009.
