Switch off from everyday life and switch to discoveries. Smelling, hearing, seeing, feeling and tasting: this is possible in the Park of the Senses. At 19 stations you can explore the four elements of air, water, fire and earth and experience sensual diversity. The Park of the Senses was created for the world exhibition EXPO 2000 according to plans of the Hanoverian garden and landscape architect Hans-Joachim Adam on a former landfill in Laatzen. The 7-hectare site is modeled on a basin, which is divided into sub-areas and is crossed by walking paths. A high wall, densely populated with wild roses and other shrubs, shields the park from the surrounding area. Dry stone walls support the slopes. Tree phenomena, stone installations and art objects will astonish you.
