A park with animals from the five continents living in natural habitats
Hannover Adventure Zoo is a zoological garden in the zoo district of Hannover. It was founded on 4 May 1865 and covers an area of 22 hectares. In 2016, the plant housed about 2,000 animals in 198 species. The company employs just over 400 people in the peak season, most of which is responsible for looking after visitors.
Its area with conventional animal presentation was significantly further developed especially at the turn of the millennium. Seven thematic worlds were created, which are based on the natural habitat or culture of the animals, offer them opportunities for retreat and at the same time enable visitors to meet without a lattice.
