Right in the center of the Saxon capital is the 1861 founded Zoo Dresden. Big and small animal lovers can discover about 1,700 animals on about 13 hectares with a relaxed walk through the zoo. Lions, giraffes, meerkats, elephants, kattas, kangaroos, small pandas and penguins can all be observed in modern, modern facilities.
Absolutely worth seeing are our koalas in the Prof. Brandes-Haus. In addition to the two marsupials, you can also experience monkeys, two-toed sloths, ball-armadillos, various insects and the Sunda gavial "De Gaulle".
For little explorers, a total of seven adventure playgrounds await conquest. In the petting zoo, there are Cameroon sheep, mini pigs and the Mäusekammer to discover. With the slide, it goes down to the zoo under the ground and at the daily feeding meeting points one experiences exciting things about the zoo inhabitants.
